Succulent Care

Light
  • Place in the brightest area of your home or office.
  • Bright indirect light is best, with a few hours of gentle morning sun if available.
Water
  • Water only when the soil is completely dry.
  • Add a small amount of water at the base of each plant, usually about every 2 to 4 weeks depending on light and humidity.
  • Water less often in winter.
  • Do not overwater.
Placement
  • Keep in normal indoor temperatures and avoid cold drafts.
  • Make sure the container has airflow and is not kept in a dark location.
Tip
  • Wrinkled or thin leaves can mean the plant needs a little more water.
  • Mushy, yellowing, or translucent leaves often mean too much water.

Air Plant Care

Light
  • Bright, filtered natural light is best.
  • Avoid harsh hot direct sun for long periods.
Water
  • Alternate weekly between misting and soaking.
  • Soak for up to 20 minutes, then gently shake off excess water.
  • Let the plant dry on its side or upside down within 4 hours.
  • Do not leave air plants sitting in water.
Water Tip
  • Use spring water, rainwater, or tap water left out overnight.
  • Avoid distilled or softened water.
Placement
  • Good airflow is important.
  • Keep away from closed, damp spaces.
Tip
  • Curled leaves or dry tips may mean the plant needs more water.
  • A dark, soft base can be a sign of rot.

Closed Terrarium Plant Care

Light
  • Place in bright, indirect light.
  • Avoid hot direct sun, which can overheat the terrarium.
Water
  • Closed terrariums rarely need water.
  • If the soil looks dry and there is no condensation for several days, lightly mist or add a very small amount of water.
  • Do not add water if condensation is already on the glass.
Moisture Tip
  • Light condensation is normal.
  • If the glass stays very wet, open the lid for a few hours until excess moisture clears.
Extra Care
  • Trim leaves touching the glass.
  • Remove yellow or dead leaves.
  • Keep the glass clean for light and visibility.
Placement
  • Keep at normal indoor temperatures and away from heat vents.
  • Do not place in prolonged direct sunlight.
